Who is responsible

This policy follows the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where it applies, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

The Dinnerfold app

The app does not collect personal data. Your household, preferences and plans are stored only on your device. There is no account, no advertising and no tracking. Purchases and subscriptions are handled by Apple under Apple’s own privacy policy; we do not receive your payment details.

Statistics from Apple. If you have agreed in your iPhone settings to share analytics with app developers, Apple gives us anonymous, aggregated statistics (for example number of downloads) and crash reports. We cannot identify you from them.

This website

Hosting. This website is hosted by Netlify, Inc., USA. When you visit it, Netlify processes technical data such as your IP address, the time of access and your browser type in server logs. This is needed to deliver the website and keep it secure.

Waitlist. If you join the waitlist, we store your email address and the time you signed up. We use it for one purpose only: to tell you when Dinnerfold launches. The legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by emailing us. The form is processed and stored by Netlify, and we receive a notification of each sign-up by email.

Email. If you email us, your message is forwarded by the email service ImprovMX to our mailbox at Google (Gmail). We use your message and email address only to reply to you.

Social media. Dinnerfold has profiles on Instagram, TikTok and YouTube. If you visit, follow, comment on or message these profiles, the platform’s own privacy policy applies. We only see what the platform shows us, for example your username and what you write to us, and we use it only to reply.

No cookies, no analytics. This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics or advertising tools. Fonts are hosted on this website itself, so no data is sent to font providers.

Transfer abroad

Netlify, ImprovMX and Google may process data outside Switzerland, including in the USA. We rely on their data processing terms, which include safeguards recognised under Swiss and EU data protection law (such as standard contractual clauses).

How long we keep data

We delete waitlist email addresses after sending the launch email, at the latest 12 months after you signed up, or earlier if you ask us to. We delete emails you send us once your request is resolved, unless we need to keep them for legal reasons.

Your rights

You can ask us what data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, and withdraw your consent at any time. Write to hello@dinnerfold.com. You can also complain to the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or, if you live in the EU, to your local data protection authority.

Changes

If we add new services, for example a newsletter tool for the launch email, we will update this page first.
